Why do Christians have gone away with our Hebraic root?
PERIOD OF DARK AGES
Roman church turned violent toward the Jewish people. Synagogues and holy books were burned, whole communities were slaughtered. Jewish men and women were tortured-all in the name of Christ.
• The church tightened her grip on her own people by forbidding laity from possessing a copy of the Scriptures. The Holy Book was forbidden. A person caught with a copy of the Scriptures could be sentenced to death.
• Bibles are all written in Latin, and the laity is forbidden to possess a copy. When you go to the priest to say your confession, there is a charge. You are expected to pay for forgiveness.
MARTIN LUTHER of Reformation
• The 95 Theses to the church door in Wittenberg is NOT a list of radical reforms that Luther sought to impose on the church. It is NOT a statement against the authority of the papacy or Rome, NOT an indictment of images or the worship of saints.
• It does NOT call into question the theology of worshipping Mary as the mother of God. It is a continuous sustained argument against the selling of indulgences-that is, charging people for grace and forgiveness.
• Reformation (15th century)
Bibles were being printed in common languages so that anyone who wanted could read what was written. The average person could read and understand the stories in the Bible.
• The motives of these reformers were pure and good. Their methodology, however, has been flawed. An important piece of the puzzle is missing. What is missing is an attempt to reach further back to the originai first-century church of Jesus/Yeshua and His disciples.
• What the various Protestant reformers have failed to recognize about the first-century church is that she was Jewish.
• Yeshua, the disciples, the first believers, the worship system, the Scriptures, the interpretation of the Scriptures, the teaching, and even the very concepts of faith and grace, Messiah and God were all patently Jewish.
• Martin Luther issued an encyclical called Against the sabbath Keepers which condemned Sabbath observance as sinful and another one called Against the Judaizers. He admonished protestant christians for keeping sabbath and adopting Jewish customs.
• In 1543, Luther published on the Jews and Their Lies, in which he advocated burning down synagogues in every town and forcing Jews to convert or die. (Remember, Yeshua (Jesus) is a JEW).
• Most scholars agree that Luther was disappointed that Jews did not embrace Protestant christianity. He had hoped the Jews would share his excitement over stripping back Roman catholic tradition.
More than three thousand years ago, Moses foresaw the time of restoration. ‘And you shall again obey the Lord, and observe ALL His commandments which I command you today.” (Deuteronomy 30:8)
15 For if their rejection means the reconciliation of the world, what will their acceptance mean but life from the dead?
16 If the dough offered as firstfruits is holy, so is the whole lump, and if the root is holy, so are the branches.
17 But if some of the branches were broken off, and you, although a wild olive shoot, were grafted in among the others and now share in the nourishing root of the olive tree,
18 do not be arrogant toward the branches. If you are, remember it is not you who support the root, but the root that supports you.
19 Then you will say, “Branches were broken off so that I might be grafted in.”
20 That is true. They were broken off because of their unbelief, but you stand fast through faith. So do not become proud, but fear.
This year 2020, we are now in the middle of the LAST 120th JUBILEE CYCLE. Time to be restored to our HEBRAIC ROOT. Obey GOD’S TORAH.

Answer: Because HIS PEOPLE WALK CONTRARY TO GOD and are NOT WILLING TO OBEY HIM.
Leviticus 26:21 “Then, if you walk contrary to Me, and are not willing to obey Me, I will bring on you seven times more plagues, according to your sins.”
Sabi ni George Santayana, “Those who do not remember the past are condemned to repeat it.”
How about what the SCRIPTURE SAYS?
Ecclesiastes 1:9 “Yaong nangyari ay siyang mangyayari; at yaong nagawa ay siyang magagawa: at walang bagong bagay sa ilalim ng araw.
The Context of Leviticus 26 tells us HOW TO RESPOND.
If you are HIS PEOPLE, return to the Messiah Yeshua (Hebrew name of Jesus). He is the Living Torah (Jn.1:1,14).
- Repent and turn away from idolatry (Leviticus 26:1)
- Walk in His statutes and obey God’s commandments (Leviticus 26:2,3).

8 Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.
9 Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work:
10 But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:
11 For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.
The Torah refers to the Sabbath as a holy convocation or gathering and REST.
Lev. 23:3 Six days shall work be done: but the seventh day is the sabbath of rest, an HOLY CONVOCATION; ye shall do NO WORK therein: it is the sabbath of the LORD in all your dwellings.
We must note that the Sabbath Day was described as a day of “rest” and “gathering.” The Sabbath was NEVER described as a day of “worship” anywhere in the Scriptures. The Torah states clearly that there will be special sacrifices offered on the Sabbath days, New Moon, and the Feast Days, but there are DAILY SACRIFICES as well. This indicates that the Torah views EVERYDAY as the Day of Worship, and not just the Sabbath and the Feast days.
The Sabbath has its roots in the creation, as it is noted in Genesis 2:1-3:
1 Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them.
2 And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made.
3 And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.
11 For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.
That means, when we keep and observe the Sabbath Day, we ACKNOWLEDGE Him as our CREATOR.
The Sabbath was established by GOD Himself as soon as He finished the creation, even BEFORE the Old Covenant was given. So the Sabbath IS NOT an OLD TESTAMENT THING as oppose to what many suggest. Sabbath is more like a UNIVERSAL thing, which means, its for ALL creation. Consider the words of Jesus (Yehua) himself: Mark 2:27
27 … “The SABBATH WAS MADE FOR MAN, not man for Sabbath!”
So the Sabbath, is NOT just “FOR THE JEWS.”
Isaiah 56:6 Also the sons of the FOREIGNERS, that join themselves to the LORD, to SERVE him, and to LOVE the name of the LORD, to be his servants, every one that KEEPS the Sabbath from polluting it, and taketh hold of my covenant;
7 Even them will I bring to my holy mountain, and make them joyful in my House of Prayer: their burnt offerings and their sacrifices shall be accepted upon mine altar; for mine house shall be called an house of prayer for ALL PEOPLE.
The Sabbath includes the creations, so it should not surprised us if the Sabbath does not only include the “foreigners/strangers” (non-jews), but even the “animals!”
Exo. 20:10 But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy CATTLE, nor thy STRANGER that is within thy gates:
So here, we learn these few things:
1) The Sabbath began after the CREATION, so it includes ALL MANKIND (not just the Jews), and even animals.
2) The Sabbath Day was established BEFORE the Old Covenant.
3) According to Isaiah, the Gentiles will join themeselves in the keeping of the Sabbath in the days of the Messiah.
It is also noteworthy, that in this prophecy, Isaiah indicates that these Gentiles will be joined to God’s people. Isaiah 56:3
3 “Let no foreigner who has joined himself to the LORD say: ‘The LORD will surely exclude me from his people.’ Furthermore, let no eunuch say, ‘Look! I am just a dry tree.’”
The words of Apostle Paul confirms this.
Romans 11:17 Now if some of the branches have been broken off, and you, a wild olive branch, have been GRAFTED IN their place to SHARE the rich root of the olive tree,
18 do not boast about being better than the other branches. If you boast, remember that you do not support the root, but the root supports you.
19 Then you will say, “Branches were cut off so that I could be grafted in.”
20 That’s right! They were broken off because of their unbelief, but you remain only because of faith. Do not be arrogant, but be afraid!
21 For if God did not spare the natural branches, he certainly will not spare you, either.
22 Consider, then, the kindness and severity of God: his severity toward those who fell, but God’s kindness toward you—if you continue receiving his kindness. Otherwise, you too will be cut off.
Eph. 2:11 So then, remember that at one time you gentiles by birth were called “the uncircumcised” by those who called themselves “the circumcised.” They underwent physical circumcision done by human hands.
12 At that time you were without the Messiah, excluded from citizenship in Israel, and strangers to the covenants of promise. You had no hope and were in the world without God.
Therefore, being a gentile is not an excuse to not observe the Sabbath, especially, if you are a believer of The Gospel.
In his letter to the Colosians, Paul mentioned that the “Sabbath Day,” as well as other commandments such as the New Moon, etc. are just SHADOWS of the “things to come” and that its reality is the Messiah himself.
Col. 2:16 Therefore, let no one judge you in matters of food and drink or with respect to a festival, a New Moon, or Sabbath days.
17 These are a SHADOW of the THINGS TO COME, but the reality belongs to the Messiah.
This indicates that just as the observance of the Sabbath looks back to the time of creation, it also looks forward to the things that is “to come.”
We know that during his ministry, Jesus referred to Himself as “The Lord of the Sabbath” (Mark 2:28, Lk. 6:5). He even taught that He is the true “rest” Himself (Matt. 11:28-29). This was the reason why modern christianity teaches that the observance of the Sabbath is now replaced with the faith of Yeshua, although the scripture does not obviously indicate this. But how exactly is the Sabbath a shadow of the Messiah, and Yeshua himself, being the true Sabbath?
2 Pet. 3:8 Don’t forget this fact, dear friends: With the Lord a single day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a single day.
Just as the creation of the world lasted seven days, it is also believed that the world would also lasts 7,000 years, with the last 1,000 year (represented by the 7th day Sabbath) as the period where Yeshua himself will rule on earth following the “ressurection” of the dead.
Rev. 20:4 Then I saw thrones, and those who sat on them were given authority to judge. I also saw the souls of those who had been beheaded because of their testimony about Jesus and because of the word of God. They had not worshipped the beast or its image and had not received its mark on their foreheads or hands. They came back to life and ruled with the Messiah for A THOUSAND YEARS.
5 The rest of the dead did not come back to life until the thousand years were over. This is the first RESSURECTION.
6 How blessed and holy are those who participate in the first resurrection! The second death has no power over them. They will be priests of God and the Messiah, and will rule with him for a thousand years.
Consider Job’s words:
Job 5:19 He will deliver you from six calamities; yes, in SEVEN, NO EVIL will touch you.
This was referred to, as The DAY of YHVH…
1 Pet. 3:10 But the DAY of YHVH will come like a thief. ON THAT DAY the heavens will disappear with a roaring sound, the elements will be destroyed by fire, and the earth and everything done on it will be exposed. (See also, 2Thes. 2:1-3)
Many times, this was also called the “The Last Day.”
John 6:54 The one who eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will RAISE him up on THE LAST DAY. (John 11:24)
This leads us to Paul’s admonition in the Book of Hebrews.
Hebrews 4:9 There REMAINS, therefore, a SABBATH REST rest for the PEOPLE of GOD TO KEEP,
10 because the one who enters God’s rest has himself rested from his own actions, just as God did from his.
11 Let us, therefore, make every effort to enter that rest, so that no one may fail by following their example of DISOBEDIENCE.
In this passage, Paul explains that those who “have FAITH” shall “ENTER that REST” (Heb. 4:3). Where he equates “faith” with obedience, and “disobedience” as “unbelief.”
Heb. 3:18 And to whom did he swear that they would never enter his rest? It was to those who DISOBEYED him, was it not?
19 So we see that they were unable to enter because of their UNBELIEF.
Contrary to the popular opinion, the message of the 7th day Sabbath is NOT FULFILLED on the cross, rather, we are still waiting for it. The fulfillment will come through the Messiah, but it did not end on the cross, but will come until the completion of his 1,000-year reign. So the goal of the Sabbath, is not yet reached at this point.
Heb. 3:14 For we have become sharers of the Messiah, provided, however, that we hold firmly to the conviction we began with, right through UNTIL THE GOAL IS REACHED.
So if the Sabbath and the Gospel is not yet fulfilled (but rather, still at work in us), this follows that Torah is not on its end yet.
Matt. 5:18 because I tell all of you with certainty that until heaven and earth disappear, not one letter or one stroke of a letter will disappear from the Law until everything has been accomplished.
The Gospel that we received is the same Gospel which Moses used to preached in the Torah (Heb. 4:2), the same Gospel we must OBEY (1 Peter 4:17, 2 Thes. 1:8, 2:14, Rom. 10:16), and the same “Eternal Gospel” (Rev. 14:6), which was preached to everyone (Col. 1:23).
